J A. COKER FULL PROFILE -

J A. Coker is the Managing Partner / CEO of Riverdale Financial Services Limited. He has worked for the Central Bank of Nigeria for 27 years in different departments of the bank: Account, Foreign operations, Banking supervision and Debt management before he was seconded to the Presidency in 2000 as pioneer Director, Loan Administration and Data Management of the newly established Debt Management Office. He retired from government service in september 2004 to head the mangement team of Riverdale Financial Services Limited.
Coker holds a Bsc in Accounting from Bowie State University and an MBA in Finance from Morgan State University Baltimore, both in Maryland, USA. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Analyst. He has attended various courses and seminars in Banking, Management, Finance and Debt Management both in Nigeria and overseas. He has written and delivered several debt management papers.
Coker during his years in the Debt Management Office led several teams to debt reconciliation meetings with Nigeria creditors overseas. He was a member of the team that successfully rescheduled Nigeria’s debt with the Paris Club Creditors in Paris between October and December 2000.
